Fishing Vessel Fair Seas
Congratulations on finding the freshest source of wild caught fish in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and El
Dorado counties.  We use our commercial fishing vessel, the Fair Seas (pictured left) and the vessels of
our partners to bring the oceans bounty directly to you.  We catch and source wild caught seafood and
deliver it to local farmers markets direct from the boat.

UPDATE FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10TH

Video on how to crack and clean Dungeness Crab

First Week for Fresh Line Caught Halibut (Auburn, Sac, and Placerville Only)

We will have the first fresh line caught Halibut of the year available this weekend at our
markets in Auburn, Placerville, and Sacramento.  Unfortunately, we won't have them in time
for the Friday pick up locations in Truckee or Tahoe City this week (we will next week
though).  Our halibut is always a hot item, and since we haven't had any for month, it's sure
to go quick.  Pre-orders will be filled on a first in basis.  The price this week on fresh halibut
fillet is $22.99 per pound.  Be sure to check out this recipe for
Fresh Herbed Halibut.

Fresh Jumbo Diver Scallops

We are putting fresh Jumbo Diver Scallops back on special this week.  We ended up with
tons of orders for them last week, and then we didn't end up getting any.  Just when you
think you have it figured out and you know whats going to be available, you are proved
completely wrong.  I guess why they call fishing and not catching.  Well I'm pretty sure we
should have some available this week (fingers crossed) and if you order by midnight on
Thursday. You can pick some up for just $18.99 per pound rather than paying the full price at
the market of $21.
Check out this recipe for Fresh Diver Scallops with White Wine Sauce.

Fresh Bodega Bay Petrale Sole on Special for the First Time in Months

It looks like the Petrale have shown back up in our local waters, and there looks to be plenty
available for the weekend.  We've had a little here and there over the weeks, and some of
you may have been lucky enough to take advantage of the availability, but this is the first time
that we have been able to run a special on it with confidence.  The "at-market" price on fresh
petrale is $16, but you pay just $13.99 when you order by midnight on Thursday.  Be sure to
check out this recipe for
Crab Stuffed Petrale Sole (be sure to order a half pound of hand
picked fresh crab meat for this recipe...we do half pound pre-orde
rs).

These are just a few of the many specials that we have for this week including Rock Cod,
King Salmon,
Sashimi Grade Ahi, Silver Salmon and much more.  Be sure to check out all of
our
specials and availability page to see a complete list of selections.
